After receiving only 1 box of two for our tallboy, we waited many weeks for the 2nd box to arrived. Unfortunately, when the 2nd box did arrive, the top of the tallboy was damaged.
While there was only minor damage to the box, when it was unpacked the top of the product had been clearly dropped at some point.
Freedom has no interest in rectifying the issue and there is no call centre to talk to anyone. This company is just dodgy!

Long-term local Freedom shoppers, we purchased the Barret Leather Lounge in January 2024 with product care protection. Within the first week, we had an issue with a water stain that discolored the leather.
Product care took ages to come and fix it, advising us that this happens a lot with this product. Several months later, the exact same thing happened again with a water stain. Product care claimed it was a warranty issue and Freedom brought in an independent contractor to review the issue. She advised that it was a faulty product and could not fix it.
Despite all this, Freedom insisted it was not a warranty issue and refused to give us a store credit. They supplied a snippet from the report and refused to provide the full report.
At no time has anyone called me and getting a response has been very disappointing. I will never purchase anything from Freedom again as both the warranty and product care on a very expensive product proved useless.

Freedom are too big for their boots now. You can no longer call a store directly.
Instead, you are forced to go through the stress of dealing with uppity, rude, intolerant staff who believe they have the right to speak to you like a child. We will NEVER buy another item from Freedom again and sincerely urge you to deal with the many other great furniture stores around Australia. They have caused enormous stress about a chair that COLLAPSED. Yep, that's right.
A chair that collapsed. They are lucky we don't sue their **ses.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, FORGET ABOUT BEING LOOKED AFTER !

I returned a faulty mirror to Essendon DFO Freedom. The manager made an executive decision prior to any discussion.
The manager insisted she knew what happened & harshly did not display any interest in understanding or investment. I genuinely offered solutions to allow an understanding of proof.
The manager chose to ignore the offer & was happy to believe her exclusive version. Unsupportive, not open to listening, poorly represents her team & Freedom.

Was delivered with no extra bulbs and 4 bulbs not working
Contacted their online team and after one month still no progress in resolving my issue, its not a big issue but their lack of communication is horrendous.

We purchased what we believed to be a high-quality wooden coffee table, but within just a few days, the surface began to bubble due to spills. This indicates it's an unsealed laminate rather than solid wood, as expected.
One would reasonably assume a coffee table should be durable and suited for everyday use.
However, Freedom Furniture has denied our warranty claim, leaving us no choice but to escalate the issue to the ACCC (Consumer Affairs) for resolution. Based on our experience, we strongly advise against buying from this retailer, as they seem to sell subpar furniture and fail to honour valid warranty claims.

Deliberate damage to $4,000 TV unit
I have had the worst consumer experience of my life after making an online purchase from Freedom Furniture in Preston, Victoria.
After purchasing a $4,000 TV unit online, the courier who refused to deliver the unit inside my house let the unit FREE FALL onto my front steps, damaging the unit and my property.
Apart from an automated response from Freedom, I have received no meaningful communication or resolution.
Meanwhile, I am left with not only damaged furniture inside my home, but also damaged property (front steps on my porch), which poses a serious safety risk every time I leave my front door. This is now a matter of both consumer rights and personal safety, and their continued silence is unacceptable.
Their complete and deliberate silence at every level of the company is a blatant display of the contempt they have for their customers.

They dont care at all. Bad qualityHonestly such an upsetting experience and a waste of my time.
I ordered a bar cabinet and picked it up on the 29th of June. I went home and could not put it together as the holes were not drilled in the right spot - my husband is a builder so I know its not user error.
I emailed the trade support that day with photos but got no reply. I then contacted the help chat and they said I needed to fill in a warranty form for a peice of furniture which can not even be put together. So I did that.
Weeks and weeks I went through that process, was told I wasnt the purchaser - my name is literally on the invoice they ghosted so many times and I needed to go via the chat to get an update. About a month in of having this useless half assembled furniture in my tiny apartment I then lodged it with Fair trading because I realised freedom had no intent of rectifying it.
I sent a letter recommended by the ACCC which is seemed to make freedom move. They wanted to give me credit but I really didnt want anything else from them after this awful experience and the hours I spent writing emails, on their chat and on the phone with them.
Freedom then said they would collect it - but they never told me just told fair trading. I just got some random text that a delivery was coming then fair trade called me.
But no one could confirm if they would actually refund me. So I locked in a date and waited all day at home. They texted to say they were close and then never showed. they said they called and run the door.
Trust me I was keen to get rid of this thing no way I wouldn't be home. But no one came.
The next delivery dates are so inconvenient that I cannot do it until December because I am away for 4 months for work. I have been trying to rectify this for 8 weeks now and honestly have now officially given up. I will be putting the furniture out in council clean up which feels so wasteful and just accepting I will never get my refund from these guys.
Their shoddy furniture will never grace my home again.
Honestly I have had better experiences at Fantastic furniture for like 1/4 of the price. Please guys, if you buy anything from these guys they will not sought you out if it is faulty. they will just string you along until you cannot bare it anymore and give up. They must be contributing massively to landfill with this attitude because they could not care less when their products are faulty, they are not shocked at all which makes me think this must be normal to them.
Just go elsewhere please! Dont make the mistake I did and buy a chronic headache!

We ordered some stools in July 2024. There have been 5 follow-ups via phone and online by my wife and I, yet the stools have not arrived 6 months later.
We are very disappointed with Freedom overall. We are out of pocket money-wise and we have not received our goods.

Freedom Online delivered the incorrect rug. It has been three weeks, and they have still not confirmed that they will send me the correct rug.
There is no one to talk to, only an online team that you can email.
However, no one responds to emails. It is absolutely unacceptable to take money and not deliver the correct product that the customer purchased.

Wanting to return an item and it has been over 3 weeks now and I still do not have any information on how to do so. Just sporadic emails saying to wait.
Not sure what I am waiting for except the timeframe for returns to expire! Very unresponsive customer service.
Won't shop there again. Will stick with Temple and Webster going forward.

I purchased a Cannes outdoor setting - dining table, 2 armchairs, and 2 benches, 2 dining chairs which were delivered in June 2023. Within months, they were falling apart. I lodged a complaint via their website in March 2024 and am still waiting for them to be exchanged as they are refusing to compensate me.
